Day 5: How could we make this trip without visiting a family owned Italian restaurant?

We met up with my aunt and uncle, one of their sons, and my uncle’s father and went for dinner at Paesano, a family owned Italian restaurant in town. Everything on the menu looked appetizing, but I finally decided on the pesto tortellini, and Michael ordered the meat cannelloni. Both of our meals came with freshly baked garlic bread and a side salad. The huge mound of garlic bread was quickly demolished between the six of us. Our entrees were full of flavor and more than we could finish. But, after our places were cleared, the waitress brought each of us a dish of spumoni (Italian ice cream) that surprisingly came with our meal. Like Michael’s grandma said, there’s always room for ice cream because it just melts and fills in the cracks! It was a fantastic meal eaten in great company.

  1. Mmmmm--that tortellini looks yummy! Glad to see you're taking a break from the Mexican. :-) The first time I read your last sentence my mind read, "...a fantastic meal eaten in great gluttony." Ooops. Sounds like you're having a great time. Looking forward to reading more.
